Hellebore Bud

Posted by
Anita (West Nottingham, Pennsylvania, United States) on 15 February 2017 in Plant & Nature.

From my garden. The buds will probably open this coming week. It is so exciting to see flowers blooming so early in the season.

What a charming closeup of this beautiful flower! My hellebores are far behind. I wonder when I will be able to post a picture like this. But I do have an older post from 2013, if you're interested!

The eye-popping saturation of the bud, tapering to the subtle shadings on the edges captivates, keeps one from just moving on.

I love how the bud stands out and then how I'm drawn to the subtler shades in the background. Beautiful!
