Anita, this is gorgeous! The center of the flower has a glow that draws the eye, and the perspective allows the beautiful edges of the petals to hold it before it sweeps across the soft focus of the periphery.

BTW, my photography is on display for the month of September at a local ice cream store in the neighborhood that most of my students live in. It has been fun for me to have the kids and my fellow teachers see it and make comments. First time for me to do anything like this-it took me 4 hours to set up the display! I don't expect much more than some additional exposure to come from it. My school is K-8 and a large potential client base. If I sold a piece or got a few sports or pet photo jobs from it that would be OK.

@Julie L. Brown, Photobirder: Thank you for your comments re. the photo. :-) Congratulations on showing your work! I image you feel both nervous and excited to have your students and colleagues see your photos. It is putting yourself out there. I would like to see a photo of your exhibit. Do you find that seeing your work in print and on display makes it seem more real, that it is something you can be proud of? I'm happy for you. Thanks for letting me know. :-)

Okay - a new favorite has taken its place. I really don't have words. These sunset colors seem to glow and it appears as if a tiny sun is ready to burst forth from the center. What a privilege you have provided - to see this miracle up close.

Thanks, Anita. I made an iphone pano but I really need to get a wide angle shot with my DSLR before I take the display down. I will then post it on my blog. It feels pretty good to see my work displayed in public.
