This is a Bromeliad growing in the Longwood Gardens Conservatory.
The image was backlit.
Added several textures by Kim Klassen.

@Ronnie 2¢: It was a discovery for me, growing quietly next to more flamboyant flowers. The light was coming from the windows in the back.

now that I´ve took a look into google, I´m rather sure it is a pineapple plant, flowering. there are a lot of varieties, whatever, your image can´t get better with that information :) have a beautiful day.
