Old Door

Posted by
Anita (West Nottingham, Pennsylvania, United States) on 23 July 2012 in Miscellaneous.

I found this door on an old building in Quarryville, PA. We have a total of 20 doors to photograph--10 down, 10 to go!

Constructive critique welcome.

Some of my photographs are on exhibit and for sale at Oxford Arts Alliance, Oxford, PA .

A character entrance for sure ! As well as the lovely gritty textures, my eye is drawn to that brick detail over the opening . . it must rely on the door-frame to hold it up !

@Ronnie 2¢: i think it is held up by the keystone, that triangular brick in the center. As always, I appreciate you visit and comments. :-)

Anita - loving this door series. You have captured such personality and texture in this example. Love the great contrast between the weathered white door and the surrounding brick.

This stages of weathering on this door makes you really look at it.

@Julie L. Brown: Thanks. I would never take a photo such as this were it not for the Camera Club's project. My photographic horizons are expanding. :-)
