What a stunning characterization of a solitary bud.

Such an exquisite phase of its 'opening' and 'blossoming'. Love the background.

This one is quite and eye catcher. More good work, Anita.

Masterful... both in composition and use of texture.

Really wonderful texture processing - which adds such depth and texture. I love the tightly coiled bud - ready to burst into bright fuschia petals but for now held tight by green leaves.

Beautiful photo of the bud, I like the one petal peeking out which makes for a great composition.

Textures used this way move the image into a study form where we notice elements of the flower structure that, perhaps, we might otherwise miss. They do not obstruct but, somehow, reveal.

ah, my favorite flower! Beautifully done with the texture overlay, as usual Anita!

Anita, I like this version too!

Perfect timing with the just emerging petal. Lovely blend of detail and texture.
