Delightful Surprise

This little thistle was a delightful surprise on a recent walk.

It really is delightful! How did you get it to glow? Nice shallow DOF, color, and composition.

@Julie L. Brown: Glad you like it. I'm not sure exactly which step caused the glow--probably the combination. I'm doing a lot more post-processing these days, and enjoying it, viewing it as part of the creative process. Here is what I did to the original image: crop, clone, darken and lighten specific areas, Colorize and Vignette Blur in Color Effex Pro, Viveza, Gaussian Blur for parts, saturation and curves. (Are you sorry you asked?)
