Tobacco Field

Posted by
Anita (West Nottingham, Pennsylvania, United States) on 10 September 2011 in Plant & Nature.

I used a number of filters in Nik Color Efex Pro, plus some textures. I'm having fun playing around.

A beautiful shot...love those orangey-greeny tones. Isn't Nik Efex the greatest? :-)

@DULCIE: Thank you. Yes, I like Efex, but use Viveza more, though for some reason I didn't write that down.

Sandy Weston from Maine, United States

Your work comes out like gorgeous paintings.....I have enjoyed browsing!
I haven't seen much tobacco in PA in years now. The Amish used to grow it
but don't much now but I always admired the huge leaves when I was a child
and visited your state quite often....

10 Oct 2011 1:24pm

@Sandy Weston: Thank you for the compliment! Growing tobacco comes and goes. It may have something to do with the prices. An Amish teenager who was helping harvest this crop told me his father won't grow tobacco because he won't use it. The farmer growing this field chews tobacco.
