Barbara Lee from Oakland, United States

This is gorgeous! Love the yellows! It reminds me that I own this lens - got it used from a "regular" 35 mm Nikon and I have yet to try it out. It is time!

@Barbara Lee: Thank you. I'm having fun learning the characteristics of this small and lightweight lens. Hope you have fun with yours.

DowsherVision from PARIS, France

I like the tint of this beautiful painting, very nice work.

@DowsherVision: Thank you. One of the textures I added is a photo of a painting canvas.

Aubélia from Kortrijk, Belgium

Beautiful colors.

@Aubélia: Thank you. Daylilies seem to glow.

Chantal from Terheijden, Netherlands

Let me know how you like and compare this lens to your macro. :)

28 Jun 2011 12:59pm

@Barbara Kile: It will take some time for me to make this comparison. So far, I find that I can hand-hold the camera more effectively with the 50mm. I don't have steady hands, and can seldom get the focus right with the larger 105mm unless I use a tripod. If I don't write more about this to you in the future, please ask me again.

Oleg from Podolsk, Russian Federation

Stunning work! Perhaps it is most wonderful photograph of your flower series!

Tomas Turecek from Czech Republic

This is very nice, Anita. I really like the soft and bright colours and the processing which makes it looking like printed on wood or canvas. I also wanted to ask about your experience with the new lens and comparison with the "macro brother" but Barbara was quicker :)

28 Jun 2011 8:24pm

@Tomas Turecek: Thank you, Tomas. I can add this about the 50mm: I have to be further away from the subject than with the macro; the images are really sharp--don't know if sharper, but very nice.

Vert Pomme from Montreuil Sous Bois, France

Un bien joli lys.

Stunning. I need to get my 50mm out and give it a go for shooting day lilies. I did some iPhone4 captures but they don't compare to this.
