Posted by
Anita (West Nottingham, Pennsylvania, United States) on 11 May 2011 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

This is the first year I've grown Parrot Tulips. I think I'll plant more, in different colors, this fall. :-)

Extraordinary color in this one. Don't think I've ever seen so many colors in a single tulip. A beauty!!!

This is lovely - just enough of your signature style to give it extra appeal as an image but the tulip still holds its head up high as tulips do !

Remarkable! One cannot imagine a tulip with so many colors and tones unless one know about parrots. This reminds me of a parrot tulip I bought just for fun many years ago, and my then small daughter was completely entranced by the array of colors. You have done a good jot with the image and present it splendidly.

What an aura produced by this Parrot Tulip...at first I thought you had worked with some color-changing processing, but I realize the tulip comes by its marvelous exotic array of colors naturally. Great take on this, Anita.

13 May 2011 6:02am

@DULCIE: Thank you, Dulcie. Yes, these are the natural colors of this unusual Tulip. I planted it specifically for photography after seeing lovely photos of other Parrot Tulips.
