Simple and colorful. Not sure what I think about the haziness though.

Simple yet superb photo, Anita. Very effective composition, crystal clear quality, beautiful colours and just right lighting. It would make a great bigt print. I would be very happy with such a photo.

@Yvon: Thank you.
Another image where the delicacy and gentle coloring would fare better on a white background. Perhaps placing it on a generous white mount offset toward the bottom left would set it free ? Difficult in words.

@Susan: Thank you.
Beautiful color and detail. The lighting is so even, and the petals look kind of translucent.

@Wild Mustang Photography: Thank you so much! I find that using natural window light with white foam reflectors creates lovely light for macros.
It glows!! Love the white background. It really brightens and simplifies the image!

@Marcie: Thanks, Marcie. I experimented with textures, which look good, but I too like the simplicity of the white BG.
I love these long slim petals with their rich and ornate center.
A fresh and soft rendition !

Have you considered doing a calendar? You have such a wealth of beautiful photos representing flowers that bloom at various times of the year. This one speaks "September" to me. Back in the days when I was fortunate enough to have a garden, I always looked forward to "Lady Aster" putting on a last show of blooms before fall and winter hit with full force.
