Red Osier Dogwood Flower?

Posted by Anita (West Nottingham, Pennsylvania, United States) on 12 September 2010 in Plant & Nature.

I'm unsure about the identification of this flower. Large shrub growing in my garden. I'm fairly certain it is a native.
Photo taken outdoors. I applied several textures: Golden by pareeerica; "Greebo"; one of mineCanvas White; and Frame01 by telzey.

You have captured fall with the texture and color of the leaves. I've just come in for a quick break after digging up my dahlia tubers, and your photos are a treat. We have similar plants, but you have such an eye for composition and light.
