Carpet Rose 2

Posted by
Anita (West Nottingham, Pennsylvania, United States) on 8 September 2010 in Plant & Nature.

This is from the same Carpet Rose plant as the last image. I trimmed this stem to leave only 3 flowers. Photographed indoors against white foam board, natural light. Brought out edges in Topaz Simplify; added texture Painted Wall by skeletallmess--twice: once using multiply and once soft light blend modes.

Love the textured overlay. Also the muted color palette. Very nice, Anita.

I understand Carpet Rose is the name of the flower, but this looks like a carpet...
a Turkish carpet with this beautiful design woven in.
The super textures, darkening at the edges, look like carpet, silk perhaps,l and enhance the illusion.
Wonderful !!

I like this one, it has the appearance of an old Chinese painting.
