I think that everything in this photo works well - beautiful colours with amazing background which helps the violet Aster to nicely pop out, the bud which evokes feeling of multiple flowers and last but not least the DOF which helps to focus on the main subject in the photo. All this together creates a very pleasant and appealing photo.
