This works great with the white background. It has much more impact on the viewer. Beautiful colours, DOF and composition.

@Tomas Turecek: Thanks, Tomas. I think it has to do with the points you made on my Peony image--here there is less white and the flower takes up most of the frame, the negative spaces are interesting. Thanks for your help.

Anita, I love the detail you were able to get in this image. I also like how you offset the center of the flower and the radiating petals out of the frame.
