Cyclamen with Texture

Posted by
Anita (West Nottingham, Pennsylvania, United States) on 6 January 2010 in Plant & Nature.

I cropped the original image and applied a Rise and Shine texture by Sterling Silverr from Flickr Textures for Layers with colors slightly modified. As I look at it, I think it might look better cropped more top and left.

Ummm...... I like the crop as is. For me, if you crop that would center the stem, and I'm a bit 'off center' type of person. (In more ways than one, lol) It's a lovely abstract and I love your edge treatment. Nothing is clipping, so it's fine as far as I'm concerned.

Now, a question for YOU: where do you get some of your art paper? I've checked an art store locally and didn't find what I wanted. I could google it, but if you have an idea or 2, that would be great! Thanks, and Happy New Year to you!

@Barbara Kile: Barbara: What kind of art paper are you referring to?

I like your creativity, Anita. How you play with a theme and try different things. I like this on in many ways - colours, crop, post-processing. It reminds me bright colours of 60's even though I can't remember it due to my age :D

Good morning, Anita. Nice work as always. I really like the whole cyclamen series. Great color, great texture. And the O'Keefe is a wonderful change-up.
