Two Cyclamen

Posted by Anita (West Nottingham, Pennsylvania, United States) on 24 December 2009 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

Cyclamen keep my flower needs met through the winter month. They are about the only flower I can grow in my cool and not sunny house.

I applied 3 textures: "Champagne Dreams" by pareeerica and "Texture Pink" by Mary Brooks Brown, both from flickrTextures for Layers, plus one of my textures. Added a light pinkish-purple vignette.

Nice colours, light and composition prooving your creativity again. Those ovals in overlaz texture reminds me 70's and hippies :) Merry Christmas, Anita.

This is a marvelous delicate shot. Hmmm, a pink vignette...I'm wondering how you did that?
A beautiful image.

@Dulcie: Thank youo, Dulcie. I create vignettes in PS7 using a new layer >fill >rectangular marquee >Clear, then adjusting opacity. this allows me to chose any color for the fill layer. I learned this technique from "The Photoshop Elements 7 Book" by Scott kelby and Matt Kloskowski. If you want to know how to do it, send me an email and I can scan the few pages that describe the technique and send them to you. :-)
