Pink Dahlia

Posted by
Anita (West Nottingham, Pennsylvania, United States) on 22 September 2009 in Plant & Nature.

The Dahlias in my garden are at their best right now. They gladden my heart at the end of the growing season.
Taken indoors, macro lens, natural light, tripod.

I love the detail of the flower, especially the center. The flower might stand out more if the background was darker. Just wondering...

This is serious macro work here and, at f/45, you might have her roots in focus out back !

@Ronnie 2¢: Ronnie: On my lens, f54 is not what one normally thinks of as f54, but more like f32. My lens records the effective f stop, which I find rather confusing. Thanks.
