Vacation Self-Portrait

Posted by
Anita (West Nottingham, Pennsylvania, United States) on 20 August 2009 in People & Portrait.

Week 3 of the Camera Club challenge is vacation self-portrait. This stumped me for a while as I didn't go on vacation this summer (I prefer to stay home and garden in the summer, and go on vacation in the winter when I can't garden).

I do, however, take mini-vacations of a day, a half-day, an hour. Here I am in my raft on our pond, where I like to float and read and escape the world. Not a great photo, but a fun one to imagine and execute.

Good job. Your challenges keep me stumped. Glad I'm not the one having to come up with solutions to these challenges. So far, VERY good, Anita. :-)

I like this kind of photos that evoke relaxing atmosphere. Even though technically it's a medium image I think that atmosphere is the main topic and this is good. I'm also glad that I don't have to come up with such ideas for membership in a photo club or forum. I'm looking forward your flower images ;)

My kind of vacation self portrait!!!! Very clever. I admire you for accepting the self-portrait challenge and think you are meeting the challenge head on. It would be fun to view some of the other photographers challenge images. = )

You must be a very nice person because you have pink crocs. (I don't have crocs but I like pink and I'm always wearing pink clothes in my cottage...)
