I spent yesterday morning taking photos of flowers in Longwood Garden's Conservatory. Joy!

This is a very fine take of the calla lily. I find them one of those flowers that invite photography but then play hard to get. Very well done . .

This is stunning. I like the short DOF and how you have the band of diffuse light in the center behind the lilly. And the angle you've taken here is superb. You've show how beautiful sculpturally the flower is. Really marvelous.

Particularly from a distance, the bloom seems to be floating in a green space. It reminds me of a dancer's cape cape swirling in a mad dance. Yet at the same time you are communicating all that energy, you've captured with sharpness every edge, every curve in this gift to Creation.
