Backlit Lily

Posted by
Anita (West Nottingham, Pennsylvania, United States) on 16 March 2008 in Plant & Nature.

This lily came from my floral design class. It was on my kitchen counter as I cooked dinner. The setting sun coming in through the window lit it up creating interesting shadows. Dinner was late that night. :-)

THANK YOU FOR VISITING. I WELCOME ALL COMMENTS.

Beautiful shot, Anita! Excellent composition and color and light. You've captured it at just the right perspective to show off that stunning backlit natural light.

Wonderful image - I understand stopping and taking photos when the light it right. Everything else can wait, but the lighting will pass and you need to take advantage of it.

It's been awhile since we've seen one of your partially back-lit flowers. What a wonderful return. How could one improve on the lighting, composition or focus. Bravo!
