Old Door

Posted by Anita (West Nottingham, Pennsylvania, United States) on 23 July 2012 in Miscellaneous.

I found this door on an old building in Quarryville, PA. We have a total of 20 doors to photograph--10 down, 10 to go!

Constructive critique welcome.

Some of my photographs are on exhibit and for sale at Oxford Arts Alliance, Oxford, PA .

A character entrance for sure ! As well as the lovely gritty textures, my eye is drawn to that brick detail over the opening . . it must rely on the door-frame to hold it up !

@Ronnie 2¢: i think it is held up by the keystone, that triangular brick in the center. As always, I appreciate you visit and comments. :-)

Anita - loving this door series. You have captured such personality and texture in this example. Love the great contrast between the weathered white door and the surrounding brick.
