Pink Mum 1Posted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 6 November 2009 in Plant & Nature. Thank you for your visits and comments. I'm slow at visitng your sites, but hope to get there. Longwood Gardens is having a Chrysanthemum extravaganza in its conservatory. I spent some time there last Friday. *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Dulcie from Danville, CA, United StatesThis is a very special shot...unique and very lovely. I will look forward to all the others that you might have taken during that extravaganza. You are fortunate, and we will be, too ! ;-) 6 Nov 2009 5:05am @Michael Skorulski: Thanks for visiting and commenting. Tomas Turecek from Czech RepublicVery nice delicate colours, shallow DOF and diaginal composition. The pink in the background are other blooms or did you use a texture overlay? 6 Nov 2009 9:06am @Tomas Turecek: Thanks, Tomas. I used a texture overlay--one of MY OWN textures! I modified the texture color a bit to match the color in the original image. Ronnie 2¢ from Atlantic Shores, United KingdomMagical and pure character . . love how we fill in the detail from imagination. 6 Nov 2009 11:05am Foto-aksent from Binkom, BelgiumNice compo and colors! Gorgeous color. 6 Nov 2009 2:17pm Vert Pomme from Montreuil Sous Bois, FranceMagnifique ce flou artistique et cette couleur. 6 Nov 2009 2:37pm Sue from Paducah, United StatesAs you know, I'm especially fond of abstracts. I like the clarity of the front petals softly and gently blurring into the textured background. You are becoming a master of creating your own textures and using them very effectively. 6 Nov 2009 2:49pm Marilla from Turku, FinlandAdorable! In this case the pink flower and pink background belong together. ***** 6 Nov 2009 4:46pm don from spokane, United StatesA fine close up of this beautiful blossom.
