Another Pink DahliaPosted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 1 November 2009 in Plant & Nature. I appreciate the honest feedback on my prior post. You help improve my photography. We haven't had a hard frost yet, so I still have Dahlias blooming. What joy! *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Jeff from Honolulu, United StatesI've been away from photography for about six months. What a pleasure it is to return this week and discover your beautiful flowers! I've thoroughly enjoyed my stay, having looked at many of your images. Rather than put a lot of comments on older photos, I'll begin with this one and follow your work in the days ahead. I love the soft pastel treatment in this image. This is very well done. 1 Nov 2009 6:34am @Jeff: Thank you, Jeff, and welcome back to photography! I'm delighted that you enjoyed visiting my blog and look forward to future visits. Tomas Turecek from Czech RepublicGood composition, beautiful delicate colours and lightning, great DOF. I am assuming that most of your images these days are from "in studio", is that correct? You are doing wonderful work. You were doing terrific work a year ago and still have improved many times over. 1 Nov 2009 11:34am @Ed Vatza: Thanks, and yes, in "studio."
