CosmosPosted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 12 October 2009 in Plant & Nature. THANK YOU FOR THE POSITIVE RESPONSE TO MY LAST IMAGE :-) My current photographic task is to create and use my own textures. Here is one of them *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

I like the placement of the bloom in the frame. Shooting and processing have produced a fine image. 12 Oct 2009 3:20pm Dan Creighton from Pottstown, United StatesWOW. Love the out of the box composition of placing the flower hard against the top edge of the frame. Lighting, focus, and background are spot on as usual. 12 Oct 2009 4:01pm Dulcie from Danville, CA, United StatesYippee! Wonderful texture. 12 Oct 2009 4:29pm Ed Vatza from Lehigh Valley, PA, United StatesAnita, I really like the pink on pink and the positioning of the flower grew on me rapidly. BUt, to be honest, I'm not real keen on the extra long stem in this image. It makes the flowers look gangly to me. I could almost see this as a horizontal comp. Just my two cents. 13 Oct 2009 10:21am Frida from SwedenI like how you have been creative with this. Lovely colors but I think it would have been a bit better with a not so long stem. But that's IMHO. 13 Oct 2009 8:06pm Ronnie 2¢ from Atlantic Shores, United KingdomDaring to be different pays off in moments like this . . love to see conventions overturned. 13 Oct 2009 11:33pm Magda from Vancouver, CanadaWow!
