A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Very striking image. I love the way the two stems gently cross each other. The composition is lovely and, of course, the contrast of colors is "eye candy!"

As I said over on BPN, this is an absolutely stunning image. The colors are wonderful. Did you try it as a vertical (portrait) image? I sometimes feel tall flowers look chopped off at the knee in a horizontal crop.
