Dahlia Macro BlurPosted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 20 September 2009 in Plant & Nature. Same image as last post, cropped a bit from original. I didn't like the green at the edges, but wanted to include the petals shown. I did a zoom blur on a selection of the outer petals. I just love the colors of Dahlias! Taken at Longwood Gardens, outdoors, natural light, tripod (of course). *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

I have one pink and one white dahlia blooming right now and this could be a mix of them. :) 20 Sep 2009 1:14pm @Marilla: I'm glad you like it. I have one white and one pink and one purple blooming. The white one is not very satisfactory as it never looks good, always blotched. Have you found a good white one?
