Chinese AnemonePosted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 14 September 2009 in Plant & Nature. September has turned out to be a very busy month for me. I haven't taken a photograph in two weeks! I have been posting less frequently than usual, and will continute to do so until life slows down. I apologize for not getting to your fabulous photoblogs. :-( In early fall, Longwood Gardens has many Chinese Anemone blooming. These were some I took two weeks ago. I have some at home, but they don't look quite good enough to photograph. I must not have them growing in the right place. *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Dulcie from Danville, CA, United StatesBeautiful Anemone.....lovely colors and very appealing diagonal lines! 14 Sep 2009 5:31am Tomas Turecek from Czech RepublicVice colours, very well controlled composition and nice contrast between pink/purple blossoms and green background. Maybe a little bit more blurred background would help to pop out the flower more but it's good as it is. Good work! 14 Sep 2009 9:22am Sue from Paducah, United StatesSo graceful and delicate. I've noticed that many of my blogger friends have slowed down just a tad. It IS challenging to keep the momentum...I always enjoy your images and look forward to your posts. We all understand though when there is a lag in the posts. =) 14 Sep 2009 10:07am Marilla from Turku, FinlandLovely colours! I have white snowdrop windflowers blooming third time this summer and they look a lot like those Chinese anemones. They are anemones too, so no wonder. 14 Sep 2009 10:33am GJC from Kyoto (京都), JapanA charming photo. Hope life gives you a chance to go out and take some more of your fabulous photos! 14 Sep 2009 11:58am Jen from St. George, United StatesStunning shot! So soft and inviting!
