African Daisy with Zoom Blur

This is same image I posted a week or so ago. This time I added a zoom blur to the petals.

A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

This is so beautiful! I've never thought of trying a zoom blur before, but you've done it so beautifully that now I'm going to have to play with some of my photos and try it out! Thanks for the inspiration! :)

The blur makes a very soft slide down into all that crisp texture in the center. Good experiment.

It definitely makes an interesting effect and allows one's eyes to fully focus on the centre. I like both versions of this photo and can't decide which I like more. It would be interesting to see both of them side by side in a a large format. After all I think that I like this "blurred" one a tiny little bit more.
