African Daisy with Zoom BlurPosted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 9 September 2009 in Plant & Nature. This is same image I posted a week or so ago. This time I added a zoom blur to the petals. *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Jen from St. George, United StatesThis is so beautiful! I've never thought of trying a zoom blur before, but you've done it so beautifully that now I'm going to have to play with some of my photos and try it out! Thanks for the inspiration! :) 9 Sep 2009 9:58pm Susan from Fort Lauderdale, FL, United StatesNicely processed......looks beautiful this way!! 9 Sep 2009 10:23pm Dulcie from Danville, CA, United StatesThe blur makes a very soft slide down into all that crisp texture in the center. Good experiment. 10 Sep 2009 5:55am Tomas Turecek from Czech RepublicIt definitely makes an interesting effect and allows one's eyes to fully focus on the centre. I like both versions of this photo and can't decide which I like more. It would be interesting to see both of them side by side in a a large format. After all I think that I like this "blurred" one a tiny little bit more. 10 Sep 2009 6:09am Sue from Paducah, United StatesUsing the zoom blur is NOT easy! In my opinion, you have achieved perfection in this image! Bravo! 10 Sep 2009 3:01pm |
