Taken in my garden.

I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography.

If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know!

A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Great shot! Beautiful composition!

I like the overall soft look probably achieved by overcast sky or shade. Still the main colours are very good contrasting and this is also appealing. Those dew drops like small diamonds together with blueish centre of the flower are topping the image. Great work!

Beautiful, especially all the water droplets.
Love the diagonal slant to the composition.
Another super macro, Anita.

Wonderful shot! I don't think I have ever seen African daisies before.

31 Aug 2009 3:00pm

@Marilla: Thanks! I hope I am correct about the name of the flowers. They are annuals here in gardening zone 6, and this was my first year of planting them. I got them specifically for photos. Mine are not as beautiful as some I've seen in photographs.

Frida from Sweden

Good morning Anita. I like this image a lot. The background looks good and I like the way the flowers, focus and dof leads the eye from LR to UL. The colors are excellent as well. Nicely done.
