Rudbeckia with Texture 2

Posted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 29 August 2009 in Plant & Nature.

I used Topaz Adjust and two textures: Canvas Wall Texture by Ervin Bartis and Texture by Steve4710.

*****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!*****

I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography.

If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know!

A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Your textures add such a new dimension to the flowers! Your post processing work is just excellent. Beautiful, Anita! You must be having such fun with these textures!

@Betty: Thank you. Yes, I'm having fun, and it is a surprise to me that I'm doing and enjoying working with textures as I'm not one to spend a lot of time in post processing.

These are becoming more and more like paintings . . this is particularly fine and the textures and background all work so well.

This is also very nice but I have some nits :) I like how the centre of the flower and the petals look like painted but then those tiy details on the small leaf ad stem doesn't match the rest, in my pinion. It's also a bit tight in the bottom. Just my pinion.

@Tomas Turecek: Tomas: Thank you for your constructive critiques of this and other images. You help me notice things I didn't notice on my own. I'm glad you like this new work I'm doing.
