Rudbeckia with Texture 2Posted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 29 August 2009 in Plant & Nature. I used Topaz Adjust and two textures: Canvas Wall Texture by Ervin Bartis and Texture by Steve4710. *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Dulcie from Danville, CA, United StatesAnother rich and beautiful "painting." ;-) 29 Aug 2009 6:24am Marcie from Newton, United StatesIf I didn't know better..I'd swear this was a painting. Lovely!!! 29 Aug 2009 11:19am Betty from Phillipsburg, United StatesYour textures add such a new dimension to the flowers! Your post processing work is just excellent. Beautiful, Anita! You must be having such fun with these textures! 29 Aug 2009 12:12pm @Betty: Thank you. Yes, I'm having fun, and it is a surprise to me that I'm doing and enjoying working with textures as I'm not one to spend a lot of time in post processing. Tracy from La Selva Beach, United StatesOH! So very pretty! I love the lively color, and the texture is great! 29 Aug 2009 2:23pm Ronnie 2¢ from Atlantic Shores, United KingdomThese are becoming more and more like paintings . . this is particularly fine and the textures and background all work so well. 29 Aug 2009 2:33pm John Maslowski from Dallas, PA, United StatesLovely effect Anita, can see you really like the Topaz plugins. Definitely have to check them out. Beautiful work as always! 29 Aug 2009 3:44pm john4jack from Corvallis, Oregon, United StatesVery nice. Software certainly saves one an immense amount of work. 29 Aug 2009 3:53pm susan from Fort Lauderdale, FL, United StatesI was just thinking exactly what Ronnie 2cents said......you are becoming an artist, as well as a photographer......Great work you're doing....looks like you've found your niche!!!! 29 Aug 2009 4:49pm Tomas Turecek from Czech RepublicThis is also very nice but I have some nits :) I like how the centre of the flower and the petals look like painted but then those tiy details on the small leaf ad stem doesn't match the rest, in my pinion. It's also a bit tight in the bottom. Just my pinion. 30 Aug 2009 7:42am @Tomas Turecek: Tomas: Thank you for your constructive critiques of this and other images. You help me notice things I didn't notice on my own. I'm glad you like this new work I'm doing. |
