Orange flower with TexturePosted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 15 August 2009 in Plant & Nature. Continue playing with textures. Free texture of10 by joessistah of flickr wtih color adjusted. *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Dulcie from Danville, CA, United StatesPerfect combo, this yellow flower and texture application. Very pretty and charming! 15 Aug 2009 5:09am Steve from Camdenton, United StatesThis looks great! I've tried some textures but not good at it...I like this! 15 Aug 2009 5:42am @Steve: Thank you. There are some simple and good tutorials on using textures at Textures for Layers on flickr. Tomas Turecek from Czech RepublicAgain excellent work, Anita! It reminds me a pressed flower in a old herbarium. 15 Aug 2009 7:24am Ronnie 2¢ from Atlantic Shores, United KingdomYou really are making good use of these overlays and textures and this one convincingly looks to be under glass in some long-lost herbarium drawer ! I wish, though, I could see the whole image on my screen . . it would look even sweeter smaller, I suspect. 15 Aug 2009 9:20am @Ronnie 2¢: Thanks for the feedback. I'm having fun with textures. :-) Re. not being able to see the entire image of you screen--I'm not sure why not. I double checked to make sure the size of the image was the same as always, and it seems to be. Pls let me know if this continues to be a problem. Dawn from Maryland, United StatesLove the texture you used here. Beautiful shot! 15 Aug 2009 11:34am Sophie Asselin from Montréal, CanadaWhat I like with this photograph is the traitment. I wanted to remark on the one’s with the textures simply because yours are wonderful and I so rarely like manipulated images because most often they attempt to hide or cover up photos that are not that successful instead of complimenting and enhancing a good photo. But yours are beautifully done with a sensitive painterly eye that enhances a lovely photo. 31 Aug 2009 3:53pm |
