Lily with Texture 2

Posted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 7 August 2009 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

A white Lily from my garden, photographed indoors with white BG. Used Topaz Adjust filter and added "Mandarin Grunge" texture by pareeerica.

A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

This is fantastic Anita! I think that the lily itself would be great image but you took it farther with applying the texture. Ed said it right, it looks like a painting on a tile.

Although I like it, I wonder if you could get the lily to be a bit whiter? I think it would make for a stronger more spectacular presentation...

@PShorten: Pat: I appreciate your suggestion. I think I would have to use a different texture. Might try it. :-)

Ronnie 2¢ from United States

I really like these texture-looks you are developing . . they are a way of placing an added character into the image, leaving a mark.
