Orange Gladiola

I love Gladiolas, but find them difficult to photograph. After various attempts, I decided to try macros. This is one of my favorites.
Gladiola from my garden. Taken indoors with natural light from a window and reflection from foam board. Macro lens, and, of course, tripod.

A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

I agree they are hard to photograph well, but you have done it, here. And the stamens lend a peek-a-boo quality to this shot that has humor and charm!
