Salvia 2Posted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 18 June 2009 in Plant & Nature. *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Paul Michko from Exton, PA, United StatesVery beautiful, Anita. I still like the last one though. The lack of any detail in the background makes it stand out more. 18 Jun 2009 10:16am Ronnie 2¢ from London, United KingdomThe color in this series is glorious . . I think I prefer this one to the previous because there is more 'space'. 18 Jun 2009 10:16am Earnest from Oklahoma, United StatesBeautiful bokeh created by your DOF -- I love it when that happens. 18 Jun 2009 11:25am Sue from Paducah, United StatesI had to click back and refer to yesterday's image. Both are so nice, but also give me a different reaction or feel. Today's salvia appears, at least to me, a more artistic interpretation. And, I like that aspect! 18 Jun 2009 12:26pm Ed Heaton from Atglen, United StatesVery nice Anita. I've been working on some of these in the garden too... 18 Jun 2009 1:26pm Susan from Fort Lauderdale, FL, United StatesJust beautiful..... color is incredible!! 18 Jun 2009 1:44pm António Pires from Lisbon, PortugalI prefer the previous photo, with a stronger presence of the flower. 18 Jun 2009 3:12pm manel from Girona, SpainPor la desaturación del fondo, me gusta más que la de ayer. 18 Jun 2009 4:53pm Betsy Barron from Chester Springs, PA, United Statesbeautiful as usual Anita - so much to look at! 18 Jun 2009 9:27pm Chris Parr from Jefferson City, United StatesThese images are stunning. The light and color are just perfect. 19 Jun 2009 2:45am Steve from Camdenton, United StatesYou have done very well with the selective focus. I like your camera placement to capture several background stems that emphasize the one stem that is in focus. Nice vertical composition! 19 Jun 2009 6:09am Don from spokane, United StatesA beautiful flower to photograph. I like the combination of well saturated colors. Nice job of shooting. 19 Jun 2009 4:04pm |
