The Gallairias are especially beautiful this year.
Taken indoors, natural window light, white foam board BG, tripod.

I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography.

If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know!

A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

This is lovely! There is so much movement to this flower, like layers of tulle and ribbon!

Very beautiful and colorful, Anta. I'd like to see this on a dark background. I think it would really make it pop.

I love the little leaf in the lower left hand corner. While I'm right there with you on experimenting and trying new approaches, I think I would prefer a black background for this particular flower.

Beautiful image....beautifully composed..... but again, my preference is a darker background..... but i guess that's why baskin robbins has so many flavors?? :)

@Susan: Thanks! I intend to try it with darker BGs. I always appreciate your input.

Love the exquistite color and detail. The white background makes it look like a 'studio shot'. Is it?!?!?

Nice! I wish I knew how to do the "white background" as well as you do! :)
