GaillardiaPosted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 8 June 2009 in Plant & Nature. The Gallairias are especially beautiful this year. *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Dulcie from Danville, United StatesThis is lovely! There is so much movement to this flower, like layers of tulle and ribbon! 8 Jun 2009 9:41am Paul Michko from Exton, PA, United StatesVery beautiful and colorful, Anta. I'd like to see this on a dark background. I think it would really make it pop. 8 Jun 2009 10:40am Sue from United StatesI love the little leaf in the lower left hand corner. While I'm right there with you on experimenting and trying new approaches, I think I would prefer a black background for this particular flower. 8 Jun 2009 1:25pm Don from spokane, United StatesA gorgeous image of this beautiful flower. Fine close up. Great color! 8 Jun 2009 9:33pm Susan from Fort Lauderdale, FL, United StatesBeautiful image....beautifully composed..... but again, my preference is a darker background..... but i guess that's why baskin robbins has so many flavors?? :) 8 Jun 2009 10:08pm @Susan: Thanks! I intend to try it with darker BGs. I always appreciate your input. John Maslowski from Dallas, PA, United StatesLovely image Anita, great background to bring out these beautiful colors. Stunning work as always. 9 Jun 2009 2:23am Carsten from Copenhagen, DenmarkBeattiful. I like the effect of the overexposed background as in the previous image. 9 Jun 2009 6:19am Marcie from United StatesLove the exquistite color and detail. The white background makes it look like a 'studio shot'. Is it?!?!? 9 Jun 2009 12:00pm Magda from Vancouver, CanadaNice! I wish I knew how to do the "white background" as well as you do! :) 11 Jun 2009 4:28am |
