Hepatica BloomPosted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 5 April 2009 in Plant & Nature. This is the bud from the last post after it has opened. Please forgive the poor quality of my images. Having bought a new camera, I find my old software does not work with it and am in the process of exploring other options. Hence, I am using software I'm unfamiliar with. *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

edvatza from United StatesIsn't it wonderful how one thing always leads to another and another. New camera, new software and on and on. I like the image. Flowers just as they are opening make wonderful subjects. It just seems a little tight in the frame. You're doing fine, Anita. 6 Apr 2009 10:35am Sue from Paducah, United StatesI like the texture of the "hairs" as well as the texture of the petals. Graceful composition. 6 Apr 2009 9:40pm Ronnie 2¢ from London, United KingdomYou have a way with these that makes each one look as special as it is. This is adorable. 6 Apr 2009 10:35pm Betty from New Jersey, United StatesI love the delicate color of this one, Anita.
