Book with Lily

This is the third of the photo challenges my photo-buddy Mary Brooks-Brown and I set for ourselves. The topic is "Books." Of course, I had to do something with flowers. The lilies came from flowers my husband got as a welcome home gift.

A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

So lovely. Interesting lighting -- high key feel to it. How sweet of your husband to give you flowers on your return. :) Now, you know I'm off to check out Mary's version of the book theme!

This is an extremely fine photograph . . love the clean hi-key field while still retaining all essential detail. This really is good.

Anita, this is a beautiful image all the way around. I have just two small nits or really one nit in two places. The very top petal of lily just blends into the white background on my monitor. The edge is lost. Same goes for left page at top (on left side of the image). Just two tiny nits. But a wonderful image.
