Pink Cyclamen 3Posted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 29 January 2009 in Plant & Nature. I found this Cyclamen at Longwood Gardens Conservatory several weeks ago. The main difference between it and mine is that Longwood's had more little bits of dirt on it, which meant more cleaning up of the image. Natural light, macro lens, tripod. *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Arnd from Basel, SwitzerlandInteresting image detail, great colors and clarity. Very nice! 29 Jan 2009 9:50pm Ed Heaton from United StatesVery Pretty Anita! Friendly comment, the image would be stronger as it appears in the small thumbnail. Full frame flower no edges... (just my thought) 30 Jan 2009 1:00pm @Ed Heaton: Great suggestion. Thanks!! Sue from United StatesNice splash of color brightening my icy world. I agree, however, with the comment about a crop that would match the thumbnail image as yet another possibility for the original image. 31 Jan 2009 7:43pm Betsy Barron from Chester Springs, PA, United Statesbeautiful! I agree on the crop - get in tighter! this is great 1 Feb 2009 1:55am @Betsy Barron: Thanks, Betsy. Yes, I agree re. crop. Ronnie 2¢ from London, United KingdomWhat a beautiful wash of color . . macro as it should be. 1 Feb 2009 11:52pm Jen from St. George, United StatesThis is a beautiful shot! I love the soft colors and gentle curves. I think it would be even better if you cropped in a bit and eliminated the background. But either way it's great! 2 Feb 2009 1:13am @Jen: Thanks for your comments and your suggestion. I will do so. Paul Michko from Exton, PA, United StatesVery Georgia U'Keefe, Anita.
