Queen Anne's Lace with Snow 2Posted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 17 January 2009 in Plant & Nature. I took this yesterday after a light snow. I rushed out to take some photos before the wind blew off the snow. Natural light, macro lens, tripod. I used my 12" circular diffuser for the first time, to diffuse the bright sunlight shinning on the flower. *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Well done. 17 Jan 2009 1:28pm Sue from United StatesLooks like you achieved great results from your diffuser. I need to discipline myself more -- tripod, diffuser, etc. The list gets lengthy. But after looking at your beautiful images, the discipline certainly pays off! 17 Jan 2009 3:45pm Mary from PA, United StatesGorgeous Anita!! I'm surprised I got an image I could use. I was desperate! Betty from New Jersey, United StatesA super light snow! Ross from Bryn Mawr, PA, United StatesWould you consider reposting the similar photo from last year (or was it two years ago)? I'm remembering it as fuller, but would enjoy thinking about what has changed (not least in your technique and choices). 19 Jan 2009 9:04am @David R. Ross: Here are the links to two other Queen Anne's Lace with snow images: February 2008 and November 2008 Paul Michko from Exton, PA, United StatesMarvelous composition and bokeh, Anita. 20 Jan 2009 11:38am |
