ClematisPosted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 25 November 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. This clematis survived until a hard frost killed it a week or so ago. Photo taken indoors with natural light. The flower was on a table and I was shooting facing the window. The background colors are from outside. Orton effect applied in post processing. Action. A link for creating the Orton effect step-by-step can be found at Link *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Super job. 29 Nov 2008 10:50am Sue from United StatesThe composition of this piece is marvelous. I love the thin green lines of the under side of the petals -- so interesting. And, the tissue paper-like transparency of the petals is wonderful. 1 Dec 2008 12:44am |
