Queen Anne's Lace with SnowPosted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 23 November 2008 in Plant & Nature. Taken a couple of days ago after our first snow. *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

It's too early for that! A beautiful capture! 23 Nov 2008 11:50am @Betty: Thanks. I agree about the snow. Sue from United StatesYou have isolated two graceful and beautiful ladies in this image. Snow? Already? Well, the positive side is it gives us some fresh, new photographic subjects (and challenges!). :) 23 Nov 2008 12:19pm Koushiro~光子郎 from Singapore, SingaporeWhee Snow~!! Nicely taken! Oh by the way, my exams are OVER!!!!! I posted some photos to commemorate the end of my exams ^_^ Thanks for the support! 23 Nov 2008 12:28pm Kaneabel from London, United KingdomNice DOF and composition! I wonder though if you could have improved the sharpness by probably trying out a slight higher f number. The compromise would be the deeper DOF, but you would have been able to capture more detail in the subject itself! 23 Nov 2008 2:10pm @Kaneabel: Thank you. I agree with your suggestion that a deeper dof would have allowed the dry flowers to be more fully in focus, and still have the blurred background. I'm not sure why I didn't do that. Also, better focusing would have helped. I appreciate your suggestion!! manel from Girona, SpainMuy buena, Anita. Un contraste y definición perfectos. 23 Nov 2008 10:20pm Chris from South Jersey, United Statesgreat capture - I missed getting out to take pictures in the snow - not sure if I will get a lot more opportunities this year or not.... 23 Nov 2008 11:53pm JJ from Jersey City, United Stateswonderful and delicate capture, love the colors in the background 24 Nov 2008 2:17am Laurie from New Jersey, United StatesLovely and delicate with the frosting of snow. 24 Nov 2008 1:30pm Ronnie 2¢ from London, United KingdomOh, this is wonderfully sweet . . those heads are a delight anyway but the snow is a cheeky extra ! 24 Nov 2008 10:39pm MaryP from Aberdeenshire, United KingdomWhat more can i add to the above?
