Autumn LeafPosted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 28 October 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. A big thank you to Sue Henry Photography for giving me the idea for this image and for describing how she did it. See Sue's beautiful leaf here leaf. *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Great detail! 28 Oct 2008 8:56am Arnd from Basel, SwitzerlandFrom a distance your photograph of a fall leaf looks almost abstract. Ronnie 2¢ from London, United KingdomThis really is exceptional . . these are out there in their millions for almost every one of us in the northern hemisphere right now and I'm sitting here thinking 'why didn't I do this?' ! 29 Oct 2008 12:50pm don from spokane, United StatesA very successful result of your work. Wonderful color and detail. 29 Oct 2008 3:49pm David Ross from Bryn Mawr, PA, United StatesAgain, there are so many ways (as other comments have noted) to enjoy your work: As abstract composition and mix of color; to contemplate the way chlorophyll shuts down in the leaf; like a satellite photo of a city or other landscape. I need to figure out why the holes "bug" me, what about me sees them as an imperfection. 30 Oct 2008 9:41am @David Ross: Thanks for your comments! I delayed posting this image because the black spots bugged me, too. Magda from Vancouver, CanadaAbsolutely wonderful macro! Great job on this one, Anita! 5 Nov 2008 6:42am Barbara from Florida, United StatesExquisite! Proof, every leaf tells a story, and yours is a magnificent story. 11 Oct 2009 1:11pm |
