Clover in Bottle

I was experimenting with a slightly high-key effect. If i were to do it again, I would use a different bottle, a clear one. Taken indoors with window light; background is white foamboard.

A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Nicely done! I can see the photo using a clear bottle, but I like this one with the warm brown of the bottle and the high key of the flowers.

If you hadn't told us it was an "experiment" we would have never known. Nice presentation. I like the simplicity of the white background. And, clover....common clover. You've made it look very special and beautiful.

I agree with your assesment, Anita. This looks great, but with a clear bottle it would be incredible. The frowers have such a illustration look to them. Like out of one of those flower identifying books. Fantastic, I really want to see the clear bottle one.

I would also like to see this with a clear bottle.. But I would also like to see the brown bottle with maybe a yellow flower just to see the difference.. Looks like you are having some fun!!!!

Yes! Clear bottle! But there is nothing wrong with this image. It' beautiful. Lovely composition and it does have the appearance of being drawn. Beautiful!.

Lovely arrangement, beautiful flowers and great contrasts. Now that you mentioned the clear bottle, I think you are correct. Still a great job composing this shot, very unique.

I actually like the amber bottle. I think it makes an interesting contrast to the pastels and greens.

Fun experiment. The amber bottle might be a nice contrast with white or yellow flowers.
