Tractor WheelPosted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 28 September 2008 in Abstract & Conceptual. Taken at Solanco Community Fair, Lancaaster County, Pennsylvania, USA. I was attracted by the bright colors and the simple design. *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

jamesy from christchurch, New Zealandthey are certainly some bright colours! well spotted 28 Sep 2008 5:11am Ronnie 2¢ from London, United KingdomThis kind of boldness seldom fails and it works a real treat here : just enough detail to support the oomph of that color ! 28 Sep 2008 8:19am GJC from Kyoto, JapanWhat I like is how much this looks like a kind of industrial flower. Hadn't thought of it except that your lens showed me. Thanks. 28 Sep 2008 9:29am @GJC: I thought the same, but didn't quite know how to put it into words. You did it for me. Thanks. :-) Betty from New Jersey, United StatesLOVE the color, and that it's a tractor wheel. Will we see more tractors? Beautiful composition, very well done! 28 Sep 2008 10:16am @Betty: Thanks, Betty. No more tractors. The other tractor photos I took didn't turn out so well. António Pires from Lisbon, PortugalAt first sight it's quite a different subject from your mainly preferences. Indeed it has these bright colours in common with your flowers. 28 Sep 2008 10:53am @António Pires: Thanks, Antonio. I thought so too. Sue from United StatesBold. Graphic. Colorful. I can visualize this piece framed and hanging in an office or loft apartment. Cool! 28 Sep 2008 11:20am MaryP from Aberdeenshire, United KingdomFabulous image! Love the vibrant colours. It is good to try something different. 28 Sep 2008 11:49am Laurie from New Jersey, United StatesI love the composition and the colors are great. 28 Sep 2008 4:22pm @gandz: Thanks! For commenting and for visiting, :-) Chris from New Jersey, United StatesWell, you did wonderfully in capturing this tractor wheel. I love the composition and the bright colors. I hope you had fun shooting tractors at the fair - that is definately a great place to try and capture them. 28 Sep 2008 7:49pm @Chris: This in the only image I like from my fair photos. I didn't spend much time at it, but, am encouraged to try more next time. Paul Michko from Exton, PA, United StatesSimple elegance, Anitia. Very striking 29 Sep 2008 10:17am Raffi from Maryland, United StatesNice abstract! Its always nice to switch it up every now and then. And you do it lovely Anita! Great work! 29 Sep 2008 2:29pm Ed Heaton from United StatesGreat job Anita! I like how you shifted gears from the flowers. I love the colors and it's nicely composed. My only thought would be to include the bottom bolt that was cut off. (Maybe a half an inch more... ) 29 Sep 2008 4:15pm @Ed Heaton: I completely agree about the bolt. Unfortunately, I didi not take a photo that included it. :-( Earnest from Oklahoma, United StatesColorful and clean.... not what you might expect from a tractor wheel... 29 Sep 2008 9:50pm sherri from Little Rock, Arkansas, United StatesYellow and red together are a favorite color combination. Love this old find and how you filled the frame with it. 9 Oct 2008 6:06am |
