Cosmos GardenPosted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 18 September 2008 in Plant & Nature. I am enjoying the Cosmos this summer! *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Steve from Camdenton, United StatesBeautiful photo! The colors of the foreground and background work very well together, as do the crisp focus and the bokeh. 18 Sep 2008 5:14am jamesy from christchurch, New ZealandSTUNNING I can just image a garden of Cosmos floating in the breeze. 18 Sep 2008 8:21am MaryP from Aberdeenshire, United KingdomThis is a lovely image. The colours are so delicate, and complimentary. The detail (on the main flower) and dof is excellent. 18 Sep 2008 8:58am António Pires from Lisbon, PortugalGood photo. It's a small flower, a couple of inches across, isn't it? 18 Sep 2008 9:02am @António Pires: Thanks, Antonio. The flowers are 3 - 4 inches across. I had the opportunity to photograph the flower for the first time this summer. And it is such a delightful flower. You have captured the personality of the cosmos beautifully -- it's gracefulness, it's wonderful color variations. I love the DOF you used in this image. 18 Sep 2008 2:30pm Chris from South Jersey, United StatesI love cosmos as well - and you captured these wonderfully.
