Horse Nettle 2Posted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 14 September 2008 in Plant & Nature. Grows in our meadow, native to the USA, poisonous. See http://anitabower.aminus3.com/image/2008-07-11.html for macro of this flower. To my faithful photo blog friends: For the next few weeks I will be posting every other day instead of every day. I have some projects that need attention. You can be notified of my posts by signing up to the rss feed (below), or, if you are an am3 blogger, by using Blog Watch. THANK YOU so much for looking at my photos. It means so much to me. *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

That makes the detail you have captured even more remarkable. 14 Sep 2008 12:34pm Kerri from Blacksburg, United StatesBeautiful Anita!! I love the water droplets. I know how hard it is to post every day. I do no more than every other day myself now and sometimes less than that if I get too busy. I have been trying to post ahead. What I have done is cued up about a months worth of posts for Sept. into Oct. because I knew that it would be a very busy time for me. It has worked out well because I set aside a few hours and sorted through the photos putting them in order and then posted them for the dates I wanted. It helped that they were a series I did as part of a project that I was doing so I don't know if I will be able to keep it up like that for all that long. 15 Sep 2008 1:02am @Laurie: Thanks for the understanding re. posting every other day. I have mixed feelings about it, but, want to maintain some serenity in my life. :-) GJC from Kyoto, JapanI love this shot. Such grace and elegance, and the little bit of dew is such a wonderful touch. I'm sorry you won't be posting every day :( But I sure understand. It's not easy to keep up. Thanks, though, for sharing. 15 Sep 2008 12:10pm John Maslowski from Dallas, PA, United StatesLovely composition Anita. Really like the white flower and contrasting tones. Beautiful as usual. 16 Sep 2008 1:24am David Ross from Bryn Mawr, PA, United StatesIn addition to the elements others have praised, I admire the sharp edge you've captured on the petals -- and this is indeed a tiny flower! Magnificent how magnification opens up new worlds. 17 Sep 2008 12:45pm Arash from Dubai, United Arab Emiratesjust wow! great work Anita! I really like details here. 22 Sep 2008 8:16am |
