I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography.

If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know!

A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

This is a georgeous shot !! the petals are like chiffon, and the colours are beautiful. Love the background and the lovely soft leaves.

Some of our fellows have been claiming that occasionally a-3 softens the pictures. I think that it happened to this picture, also.

@António Pires: Thanks, Antonio. I think the image was a bit soft to begin with.

Jose from Valencia, Spain

I love the detail that macro work allows us to enjoy....and the freshness of a flower as it first opens.

The colors are so vibrant in this - it isn't as sharp as many of your others, but still a wonderful shot....

Very interesting, this young flower... I like it...However, for me, it would be necessary to crop at the top, and to leave a little more place at the bottom of the flower... to balance the composition.

@Francesc B.: Thanks for your comments. I see what you mean about changing the position of the flower within in the frame.

Siddhesh from Melbourne, Australia

My first though....The Yellow of Easter Sunday....I don't know why....I just reminds me of Easter Sunday and all of the beautiful yellow that I see on that day.
