I know this is not a great photo, but wanted to share my son with you.
This is my son loading the trailer to move to his first apartment which he will share with a buddy. He will be starting his second year at Drexel University (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA) by working for 2 Quarters at a job in his chosen field (computer science). This Co-Op experience occurs 3 times over the course of his 5 years of college and is one reason he went to Drexel.
Another step towards adulthood!

*****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!*****

I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography.

If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know!

A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Koushiro~光子郎 from Singapore, Singapore

Wow... That's nice! I wanna do Computer Sciences too! But my dad's against it though... All the best to him and I wish him good luck for the new term!

@Koushiro~光子郎: Thank you. What does your father want you to study?

Sue from United States

Ah....step by step they DO make it to adulthood! He looks confident.....makes for a good school year!

@Sue: He does look confident, doesn't he? Thanks for pointing that out. He was thrilled to be moving into his own apartment!

Nice to meet your son. My son graduated also in computer science, software division, eleven years ago. They grow old too fast. We are still young, of course.

4 Sep 2008 10:32am

@António Pires: Thanks. I can't imagine what my son will be doing in 11 years. I don't feel so young as I was 40 when he was born, but, having a son does keep me young at heart.

Chris from South Jersey, United States

A very nice portrait - relaxed and comfortable. And I like how you captured the details in his petals...wait - he isn't a flower, is he?!? ;-)
Congratulations on his achievements and steps towards adulthood. Our daughter started her first year two weeks ago and it has been rough on all of us, but just part of growing up.....

4 Sep 2008 11:11am

@Chris: Thanks, Chris. In my eyes, he is my most beautiful flower. :-)
Last year, when he first moved away, was tougher than this move, so I know some of what you are going through. To my joy, I discovered that email, AIM, and cell phones allowed us to stay in touch on a regular basis, and allowed Ross to get in touch with us whenever he has something to share--good or bad.

GJC from Kyoto, Japan
