Spotted Knapweed Macro (Centaurea maculosa)Posted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 31 August 2008 in Plant & Nature. These lovely non-native flowers are currently blooming in our meadow. *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

They are wild flowers....? if they were in a bouquet you could ask a handsome price for them. 31 Aug 2008 1:43pm @Observing: They grow in the wild, yes. The related garden and bouquet flower is Bachelor-button. I'm glad you like it. Betty from New Jersey, United StatesI love the color! And your new gadget worked just great, Anita. It's a beautiful composition! MJ and I had a beautiful, relaxing day at Longwood Gardens last Saturday! 31 Aug 2008 11:31pm |
