Yellow RosePosted by Anita (West Nottingham, United States) on 27 August 2008 in Plant & Nature. Taken at Longwood Gardens, outdoors, tripod. *****THANK YOU FOR VISITING ANITA'S PHOTOBLOG!***** I welcome your honest critique, especially if they will improve my photography. If I have made a mistake in a flower identification, please let me know! A few words about the EXIF data, beginning in April when I began using Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105mm macro: My new camera and macro lens record the relative or effective f stop, not the one seen on the lens. For an explanation of this, go to the next to the last question at this site.

Koushiro~光子郎 from Singapore, SingaporeNice shot! Although I think this isn't as nice as your other shots.... I like the way the water droplets were captured though... 27 Aug 2008 9:45am Betty from New Jersey, United StatesIt's beautiful, Anita. Very good management of depth-of-field (f/16) in order to have the rose within the field of focus. 27 Aug 2008 12:49pm @António Pires: Thanks. The dof is tricky--I want enough dof to have sharpness for the entire flower, but, not so deep that the backgroud becomes distracting. Not sure I achieved right balance in this one. Marcie from United StatesYellow roses - I believe - are a symbol of the deepest friendship.
